Edgy Victorian

What makes a perfect Sunday for you? All I need is a cup of black coffee, my Mac and some music to listen while I work on my blog. On this sunny Sunday, I'm finally back on blogging! My fantastic ladies (and gents...?) out there, I just want to say, I terribly missed writing to you!!!!! Even though we don't know each other in person, I strongly feel connected to those of you who read, leave comments and follow me through this community of sharing :) I thank you all <3

If you read my last post about my absence, you would already know that I had my lasik eyes surgery. Few days after the surgery, I was able to get back to my normal life. So, me and my boyfriend decided to go out to enjoy crisp and fresh air of fall. I still had to wear sunglasses for protection indoor and outdoor, but I was overly excited and had a wicked time with my boyfriend :)
I find it so funny how I wore all black which presented the mood that was the total opposite to the mood that I was actually in. I was feeling bright and merry! However, the patterns and texture details on the blouse and the pants made my everything-black-look more interesting and unique. The subtle loudness is what I like about this outfit. The Victorian era inspired patterns are balanced out with modern-chic pieces like the leather jacket and the pointy flats. I hereby label this outfit as the "Edgy Victorian!"
I am wearing: H&M sheer mesh blouse, Zara patterned skinny, Naf Naf Paris leather jacket, Burberry aviator sunglasses, Cole Haan leather shoulder bag, and Pegabo pointy flats

Quick Update!

My lovely readers! Blame on me for falling behind on updating posts for you! I'm sorry that I was away for some time but the reason behind my absence was that I had to stay away from using  computers, cell phones, books and other outdoor activities because I recently just got my Lasik eyes surgery. My surgery was on Thursday that just past and this weekend is my recovery period. Also, to help keep my eyes in their best conditions before the surgery, my doctor and my father suggested me to stay away from using computers and other electronics that can strain my eyes. I almost died from boredom doing nothing last few days...:( If you waited for my updates, I thank you and I appreciate your patience! I promise I'll come back real soon when I'm fully recovered! I can't wait to share my excitement of being free from wearing glasses and contact lenses with you :) XOXO

Liebster Award

Wait a second...an award for me?? Who is so kind enough to nominate me for an ward? I just started blogging, literally a month ago! It's a beautiful world....:) Liebster Award is given to growing bloggers who have less then 200 followers. It is a sweet recognition and a honorary award from one blogger to other bloggers to simply say "two thumbs up for your work and passion of blogging and I support you!" Isn't that so sweet? I send great thanks to Bee for my nomination. Thank you :)
These are the questions that Bee has set for me:

1) How long on average do you spend when browsing the drugstore makeup isles?
When I go to the drugstore alone, I usually have a list of what I need to purchase so it doesn't take that long. However, it's a totally different story if I'm there with my friends. We spend hours checking out each and every isle at the drugstore even the food sections too! But when we are at the makeup section, we might just as well have a picnic there for a whole day. I know sometimes me and my friends could be the worst customers, spending too much time just looking and trying on products but it's just too much fun!

2) What's your most popular blog post? (link it!)
My most popular blog post is "Day to Night" post. It has the most number of views so...I guess it's the most popular one!

3) Someone close to me told me that it takes three years of hard work to get GOOD at what you do. Where do you see your blog in three years?
To be honest, I have no idea how it would be like three years from now. One thing for sure, I am so happy that I started my own blog and I'm enjoying it alot! I will go on sharing my passionate interest in the hope that I could inspire others, and just be in that amazing community of sharing. With that path, I see my blog grown with more followers with constant traffic and comments. Yes, I really want to see more comments because I would love to read people's opinions, thoughts or suggestions. I would feel more connected with my lovely readers :)

4) What's a fun fact that you've learned recently?
I learned that cracking your knuckles does not hurt your bones or cause arthritis, the sound you hear is just gas bubbles bursting.

5) How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa Claus?
I can't remember exactly how old I was, but I was pretty young. 10 or 11 perhaps? I was sleeping with my brother in the living room by the Christmas tree and my parents made their moves. They were placing the gifts around the tree. For some reason, I opened my eyes half asleep, and saw my parents with presents. Then...I just knew. Santa Claus is my parents.

6) Whats does the fox say?
They might say..Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! Tchoff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow! But seriously...what does a fox say? It's a mystery.

7) What advice would you give to your 16 year old self? (whether you're past 16 or you've yet to be 16)
I would say, "Don't be afraid to try out different things, and always have an open mind" because you never know what you'll like or what you are surprisingly good at unless you actually try it.

8) Whats your favorite song atm?
Clarity by Zedd!! I love it even more after going to Zedd concert. Plus, love the lyrics.

9) What was the very first make up item that you purchased? How olde were you?
When I was 18, I laid my hands on a liquid foundation and it was the most magical thing on earth. I was suffering from acne, redness and acne marks, but enhancing the appearance of my skin by applying foundation boosted up my self esteem and self confidence.

10) What is a lesson that you had to learn the hard way?
A lesson that I learned the hard way is that you get what you deserve. Nothing just passes by. Good or bad, you will receive everything back for what you did. That's the reality that I believe in.

11) What makes you feel confident?
I feel confident by trusting my capabilities. Also a positive mind tends to make me stay confident.

Now it's time for 11 random facts about me:
1) I have two small birth marks on my left hand that my dad has on his knee! Most people say it looks like hearts <3
2) I was actually born in Manhattan, Kansas USA.
3) I love love LOVE sour jellies! Anything sour, I go crazy!
4) I hate peanuts and peanut butter. Even though I am a huge foodie, I will say "no thanks!" everytime you offer me peanuts or peanut butter sandwich.
5) When I was little, I was afraid of grass. My parents told me that I always cried if I was near grass. How silly of me.
6) I actually cannot swim and I am terrified of water. I should say I am afraid of not knowing what's under neath my feet and not having anything to stand on.
7) I love wearing accessories and jeweleries except rings. Rings are just so uncomfortable for me.
8) I am getting lasik surgery next week! Free from glasses and contact lenses! I am so excited!
9) When I'm hungry, I get really moody and down.
10) I love animals.
11) I can move my right eyebrow but cannot move my left eyebrow.

Here are my 11 questions for you to answer:
1) What was your very first job and did you like it?
2) What is your favourite breakfast?
3) If you are an animal, what would you be and why?
4) Tell me your favourite cartoon character when you were little.
5) What is your favourite part of blogging?
6) What is your best way to release stress?
7) One thing that you dislike being a girl/guy
8) What is your fovourite online shop?
9) Is there a bad habit that you want to fix?
10) How would you describe your style?
11) What is your favourite holiday?

Finally, nominees!:

I don't have more people to tag....:( sorry!
